  1. YO! Part 3 is up! This episode strictly shows the production of a complete bike at the SE factory. Frame welding, painting, decals, wheel building, assembling, the whole 9 yards. I think this gives a very good inside look at how dialed & high-end the SE Bikes factory is. http://xgames.espn.go.com/video/10329465/behind-scenes-se-bikes-episode-3
  2. Thought some of you guys might get a kick out of what happens "Behind the Scenes" at SE Bikes. XGames.com is doing a 4-part documentary that follows me over to our factory in Asia. If you watch closely, you'll see some sneak peeks of our 2015 line of bikes. Part 1 & 2 are below. Parts 3 & 4 are not yet online. I'll post up when they are posted to the X-Games website. -This is pretty cool for BMX! - Todd Lyons PART 1 http://xgames.espn.go.com/video/10173622/behind-brand-se-racing-episode-1 PART 2 http://xgames.espn.go.com/video/10258432/behind-brand-se-racing-episode-2
  3. Thanks dudes! Even though I only got 8th & a 4th in 36-40 cruiser that weekend, it was one of the BEST races of my life! Everything was so perfect. And she said YES! LOL And yeah, my girl (Mare) is most def down with the bike scene. She's down with me, so she's down for life!
  4. Jim- Go to http://www.sebikes.com/ and enter in your zip code in the upper right hand corner of the page. Call a bunch of shops and ask if they have the bikes on the floor. If not, ANY SE dealer can order up a bike for ya. Hope you make some headway.
  5. The thinking on Euro BB on the Big Ripper is that some 29er guys would not think about riding the Big Ripper as it does not have a Euro BB. Hmmm.....
  6. Thanks for the feedback & suggestions! I will look more closely at all of the suggestions & comment as well after the weekend. Thanks again!
  7. Hey ya! Well, it's that time of the year that we dive straight into the next year's line of bikes. The 2011 bikes, that is! What I am looking for here is to have an open forum of sorts for suggestions on spec changes, geometry changes, colors, etc. for all bikes in the SE line. I will review this post almost daily for new info & feedback. I am going to Asia in about a week. Some of our 2011 bikes will be confirmed within a month & others in two months. Lets try to keep this thread positive. But of course I am open to constructive criticism! Thanks, yo.
  8. I am in the process of tracking down the Arch Bishop Magic Don Juan! If anyone has a lead on him, lemme knows. I am so down to flow him one of these $$$$ bikes. Oh, and the red/blue Quad is not a 20". And not a 26" either....
  9. Ya know what's crazy? I heard that SE "might" be making a 26" Quad Loop. Go figure....
  10. Yeah, I'm trying to keep it a bit more PG-13 rated now, but we'll see how long that lasts. Ha ha...
  11. Yo's, If any of you are interested, my site has been completely re-vamped. If you're down, peep it: www.TODDLYONS.com Or not. Ha ha...
  12. Ever put a baseball bat in somebody's spokes? It'll sound something like that. Ha ha....
  13. We plan to them in black, white, and chrome next year. As well as 1" threaded forks. I'm waiting for the samples now. Cool stuff.
  14. Thanks, yo! I have been super excited about these bikes for the last 6+ months. I'm glad that ya'll finally get to see them & I'm stoked that they've been well received. -It's gonna be another good year. Now I just gotta rack my brain to figure out how I can "one up" it for next year! -Don't worry though, I got some ideas.... -TL
  15. There are always some extras produced. Just in case any damage @ the factory, shipping, misplaced, bad quality, etc. I hope that makes sense. Thanks.
  16. Dude, I was just in the Manila last month. I saw more sidehacks & fake PK Rippers than you can imagine! Greyboy would be like a cult here over there! Peep the pics I took.
  17. Here's the deal on the serial numbers on the 24" Quad Loop frames. We made 310 24" Quadangle Looptail frames in total. 250 to the USA 15 to Australia 5 to France 40 to England The serial number is stamped on the inside of the rear dropout. It will look something like this: 24QUAD8239 This means: 24= 24" Quad= Quadangle 8= The year 2008 239= Production #239 I hope that clear up any questions out there.
  18. Good lookin' out Nemo! You racing yours in Rockford?
  19. I would've traded just to have one for fun. That's all. I'm not looking for any collector's items. Shoot, I don't own any bike that's more than 2 years old. LOL...
  20. This is how I ride my '08 PK Loop...
  21. We have sold our '07 & '08's worldwide. I've never heard of one coming back broke. I ride the heck out of my '08. If you know anything about me, that might tell you something. Ha ha They're strong.
  22. We made five of them. I left 4 of them at Rob's house. Hopefully he'll keep one for himself or give one to the DC guys. But whatev's. We're bringing the 29" Big Ripper into our 2009 line of bikes. It'll be available in the fall. Big dudes will be stoked...
  23. I left all four of those 29" PK Loops at Rob's house. Hopefully they'll show up on a future episode or somewhere cool. We'll have the 29" PK Loop in our '09 line. Should be available in late fall. I changed the geometrty quite a bit from the samples in the show. Shortened the rear end by an inch, shortened the seat tube an inch, and lowered the forks an inch. Them bikes for the show were way to big even for those guys. The day of filming with them was fun. Too bad 70% of it didn't make it on the show. Oh wells, that's how things go in Hollyowood....
