  10. I had it done at Airline Plating, on airline rd, north side of town.
  11. Still missing some "era correct" parts here and there but it will be rideable by the end of the week! I am not going to waste my time painting the imitation bars. I will wait till I get some real ones
  12. the stickers are on at last, what a pain in the azz! So my colors don't match exactly. The clear seemed to darken the base coat. I sprayed some clear over a tester sticker and it works fine. I think I will clear over the whole thing and see if that brings it together. Alot better than it was!

  15. welcome aboard! There are a couple different places that can help you out. Chip at C4 can powder coat your frames and such (link to the left) www.ajkbikes.com has General sticker sets. If you have all the parts, a local bike shop could put it together for you and set it up. I'm sure there is someone in your area that could do the same, they will shout out soon. Justin
  16. It's coming along, I am waiting for our body guy to bring me some clear coat. Hopefully it will be done and stickered this week. I have it all preped and ready for the clear. I can do yours if you want, I have plenty of paint left over. just let me know. Justin
  17. Buy a cheap motorcycle. I drive over 250 miles a week to work and only spend $11 to do it. Not the safest thing but 70mpg is better than any hybrid, more smiles per gallon! It's good for garage sale hunts, especially if you never find anything like me, then you don't have to worry about bringing anything home. Justin
  18. Yeah, just check out my post in the Freestyle section. You may have to scroll through a bit, that was awhile back. There is alot of information out there on building frames, jigs and such www.anvilbikes.com. It's not that difficult if you have the right knowledge and experience in fabrication. Justin
  19. cyclecatt hooked me up with some Peregrine HP superpro's. I can't wait to get this thing rollin' It may be a couple of weeks, I have to go to England this weekend for work I hope to get more done this week. J
  20. I am an auto mechanic by trade, so I already have the air compressor with a water separator attached. Not to mention the connections to get the paint and such at a decent price. I bought a name brand IR spray gun for $40 and the blaster was a gift from my wife, about $40+$15 for media. I have less than $50 in paint, and I have enough to easily paint 5 more bikes. I bought 8oz of each color. The brand and such is listed in my last post. Acrylic base coat that requires a clear coat. You will have some money into reducers, primers and fillers too. It would have cost me about 150-$200 to have it powdered or painted by somebody else. I never do things the easy way. But if you fix alot of bikes this is a good way to learn and do things for yourself. I have another post where I did a whole bike with spray cans, worked good, scroll down and check it out. Justin
  21. I now have both colors sprayed and wet sanded, I can't decide if I want to spray the clear coat over the decals or not. Have any of you done your bikes this way before? The paint is BASF Glasurit. Turquoise code:SG039.50 Dark green code:SB068.90 :14:
  22. There are many resident "nuts" in this house! You probably have a Dyno Compe or Detour. Justin
  23. thanks for the nice comments, this bike has needed alot of work. I can call the chromer and find out a price on that stuff for you paulie. I also need to figure out these color codes on the paint cans. They are different than what I am used too. I am going to wet sand the first color then I have to apply the dark green in the front, wet sand that, then the clear will go on. Like I said, alot of work! Justin
