K-frame

I acquired this survivor, as a complete, from a local seller, who bought it, from a friend, in the mid 1980's. It was originally sold, by Westside Schwinn Cyclery, in Lakewood, Colorado and it still has their bike shop decal. Someday, I hope to find a Diamond Back frame pad and an IRC Diamond Back tire to make this factory built bike 100% complete.

Earlier this year, I decided to re-create my 1982 Skyway T/A (original owner), as it was, from 1982-1985. Some, of the parts are, from the original 1980's build, while others were purchased to completely restore the bike. The good thing about owning a Skyway T/A, BITD, was that you could use either red, or blue parts. The local bike shop didn't always have the color I wanted, so I purchased what they had, in stock. As a kid, I never wanted to wait, for a special order to arrive.

Someone thought they might have been the Tuf Neck Impala's and gave me this link. It would be cool, if they were, but I'm pretty sure they are Cook Bros. However, it was nice to learn something new, as I never knew Tuf Neck made forks. Thanks for the info.

I have a set of forks like yours, on a Diamond Back frame, that I am trying to identify. Mine has the same angled key hole like the Impala's, but the drilled holes look smaller like Cooks Bros. Mine, also, have a rosette on the back of the steer tube like Cook Bros. I believe that looks like a welded up hole that wasn't ground smooth. Here is a link to my fork I.D. thread: My link
