  1. We recently got a 1980 quadangle and it came with these forks which don't look to be SE forks. Anyone seen this pattern in with the dropouts before. They are magnetic so defiantly steel. I don't see any series numbers on them or markings to identify them either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  2. Awesome. Thanks a lot Brain. And dang that foiler looks sweet. Also looks like it has an oval shaped top tube unlike mine that has 3/4" round top tube (1" OD). Dennis
  3. Thanks for the pics. The frames do look to be similar. Actually I don't see any differences for the pics, although I don't have the trained eye that others have. So was having no serial numbers on the bike a common thing? I remember one time my bike a couple others got jacked off my front porch and the cops were giving me a hard time about not having any serial numbers. Luckily we got the bikes back a couple hours later, they were ditched at the park. Dennis
  4. Not much besides take it apart. I haven't even fully wiped it down yet. Any suggestions on what I should use?
  5. Thanks for the replies. Actually I probably used the wrong term I want to restore the bike, some of the other components were in pretty bad shape. I was debating on what to do with the frame, refinish or not. I think you guys might have convinced me not. Anyways here are some other close of pictures of the head, dropouts...ect. Dennis
  6. So I am refinishing the bike I owed as kid, got it when I was 6 in '81, from a friend. So from what I read it's looks like either a FMF, Race Inc, or maybe cycle pro, but without any markings or serial numbers it's hard for me to figure out what it is. I figure someone on here has more knowledge than about certain frame styles. Any thoughts? Thanks Dennis
