  1. Got a picture of that frame? Might be interested. Thanks.
  2. Here is my first Screamer from back in the day. I got it in 1978, then at the height of The Dukes of Hazzard tv show in 1980, I tore it down and repainted it like General Lee. I still have plans to build another Screamer to look like my General Lee bike.
  3. Ok, here are some more pictures including the owner's manual and a page from a 1978 Sears catalog.
  4. Dave, if you're interested in better stickers for your chain guard and the other stickers to make yours more complete let me know. I made a few extra sets.
  5. The bikes in the background are all 1977-78 Murray built choppers, including a (blue) Western Flyer Ram Rod, several (purple) Fire Cats and a couple (red) Sears Free Spirit.
  6. Here's a rare one. This is a genuine Sears Screamer MX bike from 1978. Like the AMF Avengers. Just finished up the restoration project. Will add more pictures soon.
  7. Well, well, well. It's been a while since I have been on here. Just thought I would post that I recently (finally) located a real live Sears Screamer MX bike. It arrived to me last week, here are some pictures. Got it torn down for restoration at the moment. Will be having all of the stickers reproduced for other's projects.
  8. Curious, do you have the AMF Avenger 350 or the Screamer MX or something else? If you have the Screamer, I would like to talk further with you about it. Thanks.
  9. Here is a link to the auction, this particular one is a set of 4 so it's just right for your needs. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LOT-OF-4-FLANGED-BEARINGS-1-3-8-OD-x-1-2-ID-CARTS-SHELVES-OTHER-PROJECTS-/140739813717?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20c4bf2155#ht_500wt_969
  10. OK, got my new bearings today. For the AMF Avenger 350mx and Sears Screamer MX frames, these bearings are the perfect replacement. (The head tube is about 1-1/2" OD.) The only difference is that the factory bearings are about 7/16" thick and these new bearings are about 1/2" thick, which will not be visible when installed. Picture shows factory bearing on the left, new bearing on the right.
  11. That's weird with the bearings. I measured my Avenger bearings with a caliper and they came out to 1.375" OD not including the flange. The seller told me the size is "OD less flange is 1-3/8", 1/2" center". I know they don't exactly drop into the head tube, the factory bearings are a pretty tight fit. I will check the ones I bought when I get them and report.
  12. Dude, check this out. These may be pretty close, I checked the measurements of the bearings from my Avenger and they appear to be the same as these bearings listed on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130655943849#ht_500wt_969 I have a question in to the seller about a couple other dimensions to be sure but it appears that these would be very good replacements for the Avenger/Screamer MX bearings. Will post update when I hear back from the seller. Well, the ebay seller replied to my question about these flanged bearings and they appear to be a perfect replacement. I bought some today and when they arrive I will know for sure if they are right.
  13. I'm the one who ended up buying those parts and he shipped them to me in Ohio, but he kept the handlebars. If anyone has some handlebars like these, I could use them for my build.
