Hack shot.. Stu?.. Nawww Stu never raced one that I know of.. guess again..

Victor Vincente' was a Road and track superstar, even went to the Olympics.. then went off the deep end..living in the hills above Mulholland.. Promoted some of the first MTB races ever.. ask PK and Byron about him.. we went to his 1978 (?) MTB 's and had a blast..

Yuppers, those photos were from a photo shoot in Colorado with the ORIGINAL SE Team.. and the bus load of crazies!.. (Kevin MacNeil, Haro, Pippin, Hadley, and others..)...

and STR-1.. The DB-iv was sold throughout the world to all SE bike shops/retailers..

PS.. who is on the cover?/// 1976 FMF Catalog...

FMF_cover.jpg

Victor Vicente of American (VVA) was a name change for one Micheal Hiltner. Hiltner was a member of the  1960 and 64 US olympic cycling team,

One of the first Americans to try the grand tours of europe.

Held the record for the Race Across America befoer there was such a thing, and without much crew support.

He also was one of the inventors of the modern Mountain Bike, of which I can say I was able to see and ride back in 79.

Also was inducted into the Cycling Hall of Fame.
