steve bourke
My newest pick up. 81ish pro long.
Mikku
Now THAT's got my attention!! Look at the low-slung tt on that baby!! What's the story behind it and the rationale for the 81ish dating?
steve bourke
I believe it's a Patterson with Boss braces. At that time Patterson stopped paying and started the PR200/240 series made by GT so I think this is xs patterson parts with Boss dropouts, brake mount, and chainstay plates. If you hold it side by side with my Patterson pro it's identical except this parts. Dropout is marked just like a Patterson. The guy I got it from painted it and said it's nickel under the paint
steve bourke
From my research the serial numbers are in order as made. All they change is the prefix letter to tell which model it is. My Patterson mini is M0106 Avalanche is A0099 Pro am mini M0149 (has patty brace and brake mount) Elite loop E1178 (same patty braces)
steve bourke
What do you guys think? Microline forks or chrome Boss forks? I'm going to have the paint stripped off the frame and fork
Mikku
The Boss forks for me, though it's going to look great whichever way you go, especially if the nickel's in good condition. The 81ish date ties in with the Patterson bloodline, though I was under the impression that the serial numbers weren't so logically stamped. shotgun
I’m late to the party, but here is what I have to contribute. It’s a ‘93 L&S 24” cruiser.
The Mayor
This is cool. I knew Carlo Personally back in early 80s. My stepdad would give Carlo Acetylene welding tanks in exchange for frames. I owned his 23 rd frame built. Cracked it, Carlo created those Rear stay plated behind the Seat Tube post section .
MrMoose
I was trying to find out more on a frame I bought back in the 90's for our son. On the rear dropout is XXL59. There is a BOSS sticker on the frame but since this was bought second hand I am not sure it really is a BOSS Frame. The seat post comes through the top tube which is shaped to fit the seat stays behind the seat post. I have been looking online at hundreds of BMX bikes and the only one that comes close is an old school DK Kasten. The frame had cantilever brake mounts which a previous owner cut off. Has anyone seen a BOSS frame with this design? See pictures.

JoeyE
Starting to build my BOSS Prime Time. Maybe finish it when I have more time. So far is has BOSS frame, fork, bars, cranks, and sprocket plate. Sprocket is Tuf-Neck, stem is Profile, and pedals are Odyssey Triple Trap. Brakes are new school BOX. I have Dia-Compes brakes but not digging the gold right now

JoeyE
Okay, this is what I got together as of today. I will take better pictures later. Prime Time XXL, BOSS cranks, BOSS spider, Hutch bars, DK stem, Redline seat post, Hutch seat clamp, Ukai wheels, Bullseye hubs, Tripple trap pedals. I'll take better pictures during the day. This was taken in my garage at 2:30 in the morning, haha. The only thing I do not like are the brake set up. I am not liking it right now so I might go back to what the frame was intended for.
