The LRP Loncarevich Racing Products hubs do look like Son Lite hubs.

Granted, we're talking about the "bicycle industry".

Things get designed, maufactured, and sold to different parties all the time.

I think the Son Lite hubs started popping up in the magazines in 83'.

Maybe it was an item that changed hands from one company to another.

Does anybody know anyone from Son Lite?

Does anybody know anyone from LRP?

!!!!!!!!!!! I FOUND THE ANSWER !!!!!!!!!!

I found an article on Son Lite hubs in BMX Plus.

Loncarevich Racing Products was a DISTRIBUTOR of Son Lite hubs

NOT a manufacturer.

I just picked up 2 pairs of LRP pedal cages. These are flat. I assume you bent them to fit KKT or MKS Pedals? These are used and the guy I got them from was sponsered by LRP. His memory was somewhat faded and he didn't remember what pedals he used. He just raced. He was from So Cal and knew and raced all of the big racers there. He said he used a new set of pedal cages every race and said they were made from surgical stainless steel but who knows? Nice guy though. His name was Steve Calta.

I've have a set of LRP stainless steel pedal cagers that a good friend brought back from the U.S at the end of 1981.

Mine where drilled to work with MKS BM-10 pedals, came flat and had to bend them on to the pedals.

They came with stainless allen bolts to mount them to the pedals.

I remember in 82' Diamond Back's Rich Farside (New Jersey) rode DB pedals with those cages.

Of course Loncarevich did too.

I was sponsored by LRP way back when as well. Only products I ever saw from Pete and used were the pedal cages and the seat posts. I don't remember ever seeing any hubs that were branded LRP. For some reason, I remember the cages be add on's to your existing pedals, they didn't actually replace the pedals original cage? I also remember the seat posts bending really easy. Woody.
