Sean,

You wrote.... "Check out #1 on the stock looking Schwinn w/white walls".

That's San Diego racer Harry Mutch. That guy was sooooooooo rad!!!!

He raced in the mid 70's, quit BMX, then came back around 80'.

In 80' when he came back,

Harry Mutch would slaughter the cruiser class in San Diego.

He rode a total stock beach cruiser and would shread the other guys.

He would be leading halfway through the track,

then just go for HUGE air and/ or do picture perfect tabletops....

in his race.... just for laughs!!!!!!!!!

Harry Mutch was also the gate starter at the San Diego Velodrome BMX track

back in 80' as well.

Ft. Hamilton BMX Track, Hamilton, Ohio, circa 1979. I'm 191 on the Redline MX-II.

Ft. Hamilton BMX Track, Hamilton, Ohio, circa 1980 or 1981. I'm 131 in second on my first Torker.

Don't have many cool pics of me from BITD. Working on getting some from my uncle who shot a few races. He says he has a movie of me racing, too. Love to see that.

Boys Town BMX ? Anyone know anything about IT ?? when ? where?

Wasn't that in Kendall, Florida or someplace near there? Late 1970s and early 1980s... My memory is foggy... :Frustration:

Me back in early '77 in Biloxi, MS. My dad was in the Air Force and we just moved there from Ventura, CA. We lived there 11 months then it was off to Panama City, FLA. until '82. You KNOW you are WAAAAAAAY diggin' my pants in this shot. LOL!!!!

Shannon, I was 17 in '77 and two firemen were operating the first BMX track in Mississippi (as far as I can tell) in Long Beach. We had to go to Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia to race any big races with some good comp... your dad was at Keesler Air Force Base? :OSThumbsUpPeace[1]:

Cool beans, My dad was sataioned at Keesler Air Force base. He went to Air Traffic Controller school there. We only lived there about 11 months. We raced a lot of motocross there. We use to go to Ocean Springs Suzuki to get my RM-80 parts.
