BANDITO SURVIOR

Recommended Posts

I've been racing ALL da local state races & Redline cups these days in 36-40 cruiser, & a week or so ago @ Yucca Valley's State race while in staging I look over & see these trippy bike w/ a "lift kit." I end up talking to da kids parents, & well you know what happens next, I make an offer & last night me & John Johnson head out to go pick it up. (da offer being a brand new Intense expert xl race bike :) )

Da frame is VERY clean, no cracks, repairs or dents. Stamped Pro Neck, Power-bend bars, Araya 7x's, Suzie sealed hubs, Red Line 175 Flights, Suntour XCII's (no cages :( ) Izumi gold chain, Uni seat, & 2 Flight wheels, a 44 & 42.

can anyone help me out w/ decals & some history?, serial # is B1004.

here she is, just like da father raced it BITD!

I can't believe you left off one of their most famous racer Johnny!

Matt Hadan- I believe he scored the first quadruple at a national while riding for Bandito.

This was taken in 1981.

Check out Woody Itson in second. Those are Powerlite bars.

Look like you got the same G.

Bro, you're stoked.

What is the story with the drop-outs? Is it so you could have a taller bottom bracket? That bike is bonkers!

They offered the frames AND forks with double dropouts so you could adjust angles and geometry if you wished........

Ironic that a Bandito should turn up. I just saw a Bandito cruiser with the dual dropouts at the NBL Freedom Nationals in Woodbridge, VA this past weekend. I acknowledged it to the owner who turned around when I called it upon first sight while passing in opposite directions, but never saw it again. The forks on that 20 are WAY harder to find than a frame, which is also pretty rare. Really cool score and in survivor condition even cooler. Good for you Da-G.
