WOW, Nemo I had no idea you had such a vast collection of coolness! I especially love the 84 blue Quad which is your daughters, and your 24" with the camo is very rad too! :)

Several different types of Quadangles here.... I notice that some have the seat stays welded on the seat post tube, while others (including my new school Quad) have them welded to the top tube. There are also several different ways they join the chain stays to the bottom bracket tube. Cool stuff.....

Keep posting!

Hey Torrey:

I was looking at my Quad 24" today, and is it just me, or are Landing Gear forks insanely heavy?

I had a set of Sinz 24" forks for comparison, and the Landing Gear seem twice the weight of the Sinz.

Dunno about insane..... but LG forks have always been very well made. Bomb proof is what I would call them I have never seen them bend or break before. They're awesome, put them on!

Oh, I have no problem using them, as they are proper looking for the Quad - I was just shocked by the weight difference. Let's face it, I could make up that weight difference by skipping lunch!

I weigh about 210 and my Quad doesn't even flinch at the skatepark riding concrete. I have seen lots of extreme situations in nearly 30 years of Landing Gear forks just shrugging off impacts. They are worth the extra weight because you will not break em.

I have it posted somewhere else, but here it is again. '81 Quad geared up with just as when I stopped racing. The only thing missing are the front brakes and lever. This is pre-restore.
