Admin S.Brothers Posted January 28, 2010 Admin Share Posted January 28, 2010 For Sale Section Guidelines** You must post a price, unless it is an ebay listing.** You must post at least one photo. It should be clear, well lit and in focus.** Multiple items posted for sale during the course of 1 day, should typically be combined in one post. Don't post many separate listings when one single combined listing would do.** The site is in no way responsible for policing deals. Ultimately you have to do your own due diligence and handle your own business and that is so no matter what side of the transaction you are on - buyer or seller. That said... if you rip somebody off, or pull some shenanigans - please believe we'll do our best to make life the hell that you deserve when you come around this site. You will be the object of ridicule and scorn.** Please do not offer unmarked and/or unlicensed reproduction items that are identical or virtually (for all practical purposes) identical to parts and equipment from earlier eras. Soft goods such as decals or pads are considered on a case by case basis, but please make sure that you have not violated any trademarks or copyrights. All such soft goods must be explicitly identified as reproductions in the description of your item.** If you have a company or are a sales rep for a company, and are selling your own line of bikes or components, you need to check in with staff about advertising rates. This section is really aimed for the private, non-professional individual to swap and sell.** Please do not "piggy back" and put overt or veiled posts about your own items for sale in any other members' for sale thread.** Tagging someone's sale thread with a declaration of "dibs" does not mean anything. Don't even do that. Real and direct two-way communication with the seller is the only way to initiate and close a deal on this site.** Please do not offer to sell or trade firearms or weapons.** Non-bmx items for sale will be considered on a case by case basis. We won't say you can't offer other kinds of items, sometimes it is no problem, but generally it is better just to stick with bike stuff.** Please try to avoid comments that transform a sale thread into a raging conflict. Sometimes it happens, but it is better avoided.** Don't post a link to your sale on other bmx forums. If you want to sell here, follow through completely with photos & prices. The one exception is ebay auctions. You can simply post your link to ebay sales. On the other hand, if you want to post links from your sale ads here on other sites... that's fine.Last but not least...** Please update your sale thread as items sell. Old sale threads will eventually be deleted.
