BMX4LIFE
I picked up a CW last week. I have been doing some research on the color of it. To me it looks pink'ish purple'ish. Then a Friend of mine and collector found this info in the June 1987 issue of BMX ACTION on page 26. The CW's were not sold in pink. They were only sold in Blue and white,Lavender and White,And Raspberry and White. Mine being the Raspberry color. I have posted pics of the add and several shades of Raspberry color compared to my bike. I am posting this info for all the CW fans and also I noticed when doing my research there are SEVERAL CW's that are labeled pink in color when in Fact they are not they are Raspberry in color. I hope this info is helpful.

RCain
It's certainly not a stretch to call that bike pink. Calling it raspberry is just trying to cover up the gay (and really, it doesnt do a very convincing job.) My wife painted our living room a nice white. "That's a nice white" I commented. "It's not white it's eggshell" she retorted. Well who the hell knew that white and eggshell were two different colors! "Well, it's an "off white". So, using my wifes logic, her having won the arguement(she wins them all.), Your bike is "off pink". Wear a black T shirt with skulls on it to offset the gay if you must. BMX4LIFE
If it were pink would have been listed as pink like the GT"S and other bikes in the for sale add. BUT it is not. It is listed as Raspberry. Why??? Because they are 2 different colors. So this thread is far from useless it's the Truth on CW colors and pink is not one of their colors at that time. RCain
9 out of 10 straight men would call that color pink. The 10th guy that says "raspberry" is most likely still in the closet. You do realize that you're getting all worked up about something that doesn't matter to anyone except maybe a guy that for whatever reason doesn't want to be thought of as someone who rides a pink bike. Make sure that you stop to tell everyone you meet that pink and raspberry are two different colors, I'm sure most people don't know about that whole thing. Also, robins egg blue and baby blue are two different colors. I think one has more white in it. You should go to Sherwin Williams and get one of those paint chip fans. there are lot of different colors. Pay particular attention to those that fall between red and white, an area known in the pro paint biz as "pink".
BMX4LIFE
Here are 2 different adds from the July 1987 issue the first pic is of page 24 the second is page 29 .
1966bmx
when you find a crack on this pink frame are you going to list it for sale on craig's list and not disclose that ? just like you did on the trickstar . pink or raspberry you are still shady . BMX4LIFE
I am far from shady. The T-Star was listed for sale in here with the minor crack in it and pics. I even started a post just on the Crack in the frame the day before in the museum everyone knew about it and the person who now owns the bike picked it up in person was an is well aware of the minor crack and has left me + feedback in the museum. I Buy sell and trade on a daily and I am always straight up and honest in everything I do.

BMX4LIFE
LOL. I am not getting all worked up. All I am saying is if it were 1987 and you tried to order a CW IN pink and white you would not have gotten a bike. Just like the GT's that are listed in the same adds as pink if you had of tried to order 1 of those in Raspberry you would have not got a bike. Why because they are 2 totally different colors. You all can Call it what you want to. I will got it what it truly is Raspberry.
