I was wondering if the Hutch stickers have a clear or red background?

My guess, would be a red background. I have an old set of trick star decals that are chrome on a red background as well. Never saw a trick star that color though. Great bike Brian.

Nice one Brian!

You have the whole rainbow of Hutch paint, with the Racers/Trickstars now?

That's another inter-Jersey transplant, (from South Jerz) Right?

The one with the True-Temper sticker under the BB.

It's absolutely beautiful.

Love it. Great example of how many built their bikes BITD.

I'm guessing the stickers have a red background too. The letters are chrome. I have an og Hutch Pro Racer set and a Trick Star set in the chrome/red backgraound. Killer stickers for sure and rare. That frameset is in great shape! That is a great find. The red Pro Racer frameset I have is in poor condition. I believe Hutch did those early candy red colors on the Pro Racer frames around 83 before the later candy colors like you see in 85. They put the chrome letters with red background stickers on them, but they did not do that for very long at all. It seems that the only stickers with the chrome letters that made it a long time were the ones with white backgrounds that were put on white Judges, Trick Stars, etc. Either way you have a very rare finished frameset.

I have not seen a Trick Star in that color either, just Pro Racers. I have also heard about blue Pro Racers in the same scheme, but I have never seen one.

Brian, you should get a new/NOS/whatever you call it "Hutch" stem, pedals, decals, and padset for that.

It would really make that bike much cooler and closer to how it shoulda' been bought.

Nice find. Here is a 100% complete, survivor Hutch Judge. The Hutch bars are the same color as your Pro Racer frame/fork. The frame/fork on the Judge is more of a translucent red.

So is it more of a metallic than a candy?

Yes, the paint is a little different on Mark's red bars and Brain's red Pro Racer compared to the red Judge in Mark's pic. The later Judge and Trick Star red is more translucent. That is a killer survivor red Judge. I have seen that one before but cant place it. Very nice.
