I don't know if this is the place or not, but one of the BMX tracks in Fresno had one of those corrugated metal buildings that was a bike shop. I raced Stanley Robinson at that track. I don't remember the brand, but they were small. I made the move from these to JMC Darryl Youngs. They worked good for a while though. They also had a killer bike shop next to the Track. the track and shop was family run. The two teenaged brothers Jerry 17/18 16 mainly ran the operation. UBR sanctioned e district. Silas Posted July 30, 2021 Share Posted July 30, 2021 (edited) Yes, I recall racing in Fresno from 1980 to 1983 beginning at the age of 9. There was that track off of Golden State Highway, and J&D I believe was off Belmont, but it's more vague in memory, and a third Fresno track, if I'm not mistaken, though I can't quite place where it was but seem to remember it having a larger starting hill than J&D. Golden State's hill was large to my recollection as a child. It will take some time to access, but there are a number of photos from these locations in the family collection. It seemed it was a bit more on the outskirts in farmlands. I raced in Fresno only a few times. I am from Bakersfield and only raced Fresno when I was visiting my grandparents.
