Monster-Robot 37 Posted November 11, 2011 Classic A&A frame there.. I miss that old downhill berm. One slip and you were in the manzanita bushes, pulling stickers out of yourself. Ahhh... the good ol days. Sure enough...I didn't notice the BB gussets and I thought there was a decal on the headtube gusset.
bloud 1 Posted November 13, 2011 I would venture to say a few of those pictures are from Northern California. I see a couple of Silver Shield guys in there. Maybe John Wells? I am wondering if the Panda rider wearing Mototcycle boots might be Dave Busby? Cool stuff Michael. 75 was a very cool year to be BMX'n here in SoCal. We were transitioning from 'bikes' to 'BMX specific' bikes and accessories were popping up from all sorts of manufacturers. The lead Webco rider (#37) in the downhill picture is Rick Collins. For comparison, here is one of Steve's pictures from Yarnell... As a mid 80's racer I am just amazed at the air these guys were getting with motomags. ;-)

Red Baron 144 Posted November 13, 2011 It's funny to hear a statement like the one above from guys who didn't get to experience those early days when we didn't know we couldn't get 'air' on 35lb bikes. Plus we were jumping to flat landings.
bloud 1 Posted November 13, 2011 on 35lb bikes. Plus we were jumping to flat landings. 35lbs!? That's for the mags right. ;-)
Red Baron 144 Posted November 13, 2011 Yea, that one probably weighed a little more. But my first race bike weighed (still weighs) 33lbs.
