78 DG Racer

Recommended Posts

This is the bike that Ripvanwinkle got and cleaned up. It traded hands a few times before I got it. The unfortunate thing is the og blue DG fork was removed and repowdered sad.gif The rest of the bike is how Ron had it cleaned up. I picked up the bike minus the fork not wanting to see it get torn apart anymore. I had the Tange TX-500B sitting next to my desk and it is stamped 78 as well. Better pics and description to follow.

Right on.. I like that back tire a lot.

If you still have the powdered DG fork, maybe you can hang on to it for a while and eventually trade with someone who is thinking about having theirs powdered.

Cool, I like that. Too bad about the fork. Who does that?! Geez.

That's pretty nutty what you did there, Sodbuster. Haven't really seen that technique of thread reference much. Not sure I could pull that off even, truth be known. Might have to have you give me a tutorial. :)

Geroge,

the original fork is long gone. I will just leave it as is for now. The rear tire is a NTKK Snakebelly style.

Those 500's bring the whole thing together.

The thing looks like it cooks. I love it.

Great parts selection.
