Bikes for the World donations / dumpster finds

Good stuff - where does the extra special stuff like this go to again ?

Does it get sold separately. Sorry don't remember or feel like searching.

The only thing I kept is the white Redline RL-20II from these pictures. I paid $300 for it before I became involved in a larger capacity.

Sweet deal!

R.I.P.

It has become my burden to sell it. It was fun in the beginning, but like I said, it has been burdensome as of late. Just so much stuff and one of my least favorite things to do is pack stuff in boxes and ship. I keep reminding myself that it's for a great cause though and all is well.  :)

I just got a picture message from a Bikes for the World employee asking if they should hold on to this one or ship it... 17424535909_e0566ef0cf_b.jpg

I finally got around to picking up the Mach One. It's a super nice all original bike. I also got some pics of this old Schwinn. I haven't decided yet if that one is worth trying to sell or just ship it. I'll at least pull the mx1000 off of it.

front tire on that Schwinn looks good. ;-)  How's the sidewall?

Sidewall is pretty rough. It will probably mostly crumble away if I try to take it off the rim. Any salvage value there? lol.

86 Dominguez Strike Zone.

This is a real oddball. Strike Zone frame, but almost every other part on the bike looks to be from a low-end Cool Streak. It was suggested to me that it might have been a bike shop parts swap. Frame failure  warranty replacement? Let me know if this sounds feasible.

Did I sell it to you for like a hundred bucks or something? Do you still have it?

This is awesome and I can totally relate. I work for a non for profit that collects donations weekly. It always amazes me the things people just give away or just throw out!

Yes you did...something like 10 years ago. I still have it. It's still intact.

I hit up the warehouse yesterday for the first time in a while. This is what has been set aside for my inspection...

Late 90s Mongoose Solution Pro

New school Specialized something or other:

DB Hot Streak, CW California Shaker, Mongoose FS-1, old Predator:

I believe the red one to be an early 2000's or late 90's Nirve 24" and a 90's Robinson 24":

There was also a newer Haro micro mini, some more Schwinns... Thrasher & predators and a DK, maybe more that I forgot to get pics of.

Major props to these dudes for loading a container in yesterday's blistering heat and humidity.

The Bikes for the Word director texted me a few pics of some more recent acquisitions. Good older stuff that you guys probably would appreciate more than what I usually post. LOL... yep, it's still out there. The last pic sucks but it looks like an old mini Goose? I'm really looking forward to getting to the warehouse to check it out.
