O.T.P from Modesto area

Recommended Posts

Picked this up recently.  Was hoping someone had more info.  Was told that the stock fork may be a triple crown. I remember seeing an older BMXA with a guy with a OTB jersey with those forks.

The headtube decal is not BMX related.

The seller told me that it had a triple crown fork as an option.

Somebody at the swap mentioned the recent mystery mountain bike

I used to go to OTP (On The Pedal) all the time during the 80's. Best shop in the Central Valley. I vividly recall the Cook Bros box set posted up and buying my Patterson bars out of there. I remember them building bikes too but u didn't pay much attention to them back then. Looks like a rad frame.

I got the padset as well.  Will post pics after work.    THe frame is alloy.

I think O.T.P may have sponsored Justin Green and Mark Browning among other fast central california/nothern ca locals back in the day.

Hey I just wanted to say. Darren, you have some cool stuff. Those look like cruisers in the pic. The forks also look like my mountain bike forks.

Is this one from the USAbmx archives (aka ABA)?

RandyShafter (PRIME) sent me a link and it may have been part of Gork UBR Archives

This pic from BMXA shows Tom Lueck (sportin' a top hat) in a OTP jersey. Tom ran all my local tracks bitd (ABA Cal 10).

The cruiser rider looks like he has the same forks as the mystery mountain bike?

Tom Lueck swiped the top hat for the old fart photo in BMXA from his partner in BMX tracks Eddie Menez.

Other riders in OTP jerseys, Kevin Mc Carthy, Stephan Coleman, and David Lueck. I think Robbie Standford as well?

I have a cool OTP promotional frisbee. If I can figure out how to post it up I will.

DCBMX1, ever dig up any more Ingo on your frame or on OTP?

Contender, any chance you know where any other OTP riders or shop guys can be located?

Thanks,

Steve
