Admin TrulyOdd Posted November 23, 2014 Admin Share Posted November 23, 2014 Had this Haro Freestyler for a while and just took it out for a pic. I think it's an 84 sport.
donvader
I would say it is too. Very cool! I've got an 84 Master I'm going to finish one of these days. I always liked the Sports better than Masters, but in the long run I ended up spending more time riding a Master instead.
Admin TrulyOdd Posted November 25, 2014 Author Admin Share Posted November 25, 2014 Thanks. I've been thinking of building it up lately but got a few other things in front.
jay
Non machined head tube and BB, chevrons in the gusset, no chainstay gusset,no fork peg holes, probably a 85 FST. Edited December 2, 2014 by jay
Admin TrulyOdd Posted December 3, 2014 Author Admin Share Posted December 3, 2014 Was told it's an 84. ??
jay
Sweet, that must be the original paint then, yeah definitely a 84, pretty rare, not too many 84 FST's about. Great F&F....
Admin TrulyOdd Posted December 3, 2014 Author Admin Share Posted December 3, 2014 Yes its original paint. When I first got it, it was covered in dirt and dust so I assumed it had been spray bombed. when I finally cleaned it up, I was glad to see OG paint. What's the differences in the sport and fst? TT length?

Admin TrulyOdd Posted December 9, 2014 Author Admin Share Posted December 9, 2014 thanks jay. It's probably a FST. I'll check later when I get home. I'm sure it's not easy to find decals.
jay
I think Chip, C4 Labs does the decals for the 84. Here are a few pics for you, Ignore the frame on the pic below as its the very early test bike, not sure if they ever went into production or who made the frames on this as is was produced without the gusset. The production frames made were made overseas with the gusset/Chevron stamped. I Found a picture of a 84 original FST i used own, original paint and decals for reference, Its the frameset in the back ground, Same as yours. (the frame in the front is a 1st gen Sport). Picture of seat tube.
