1984 GT Pit Racer

 

This is a 1984 GT PIT Racer with the long top tube,vary rare.I picked it up from the original owner how it looks but chaged the front tire,Bars and brake.It was used at races back in the day.

 

GT- Frame stamped 16 January 84 og finish and decals

GT-Fork original to the bike,og finish and decals

Suntour-Power stem

GT Early 80's unknurled expert bars-og finish

AME-small mini or pit grips from the early 80's

Tuff Wheels-1983 hand written on inside of wheels

Cheng Shin-black compIII tires 16x1.175

Dia-Compe- 890 brakes,with DC tech 3 lever

Tioga-1pc chromoly 180mm cranks

Shimano- PDMX 15 Pedals-og finsish

Sugino spider with sugino 44t bmx sprocket

FS- Hinged seat clamp-og finish 80's

GT Braced layback seatpost-og finish and decal-80's

GT-Plastic 2169 seat from 84-85 og finish

The bad news... this was the only pit bike entry this year.    :nonono:


 


The good news... this is a great pit bike    :rockout:


 


 


I'm adding this bike to the 20" 80's bikes for voting.  I feel this is a worthy Pit Bike winner, I just wish you could have taken the title under better and more competitive circumstances.


 


So... I'll leave this bike here I guess, but it's description link will be placed in what is now essentially the 80's open class ballot, and it will link back to the entry for the GT pit bike above.
