An '82 frameset just popped up for sale over on the other site - see pic below!

Btw, what happened to the OP? Haven't seen him posting recently, either here or elsewhere!

Finding forks may be a bit difficult, but these are the ones you'll be looking for.

(Please ignore the decals, this particular set of titanium Black-Lite forks were found on a CW sponsored ride.)

The shape of the drop outs are almost identical to the Rebel Racing mini forks seen on the (black) Blazer complete in the rear.

Hello folks,

I'm new to the society. I'm into Black Lite and have some pics to share. Some may have been seen elsewhere on this site but I'd like to include them in this all inclusive thread.

Nice! What's the story on the Red Line-stickered one?

Heres some more Black Lites that have popped up recently.

First what was advertised as a Panda Mini but looks to be a aluminum Black Lite:

I was able to buy the Black Lite that was recently posted on the museum. It was listed as titanium but is in fact chromed aluminum. The chrome is in bad shape and there’s a crack at the top tube near the head tube. It’s been out in the weather a bit. Has Navajo forks. Their chrome isn’t in the best shape either. I’m glad to have gotten it though.

Bought a Blacklite off CL recently.  I was curious if someone could give me an idea what it's worth and how I decifer what year it is?  Also not sure if it is aluminum or titanium.  I don't see very big welds and the chrome is peeling.  Thank you in advance for any possible insight!

hello billy,
welcome to the site.   it doesn't look aluminum but take some close up pics, we’ll be able to tell.   If it’s not...grab a magnet....see if it sticks to it.   If it doesn't it’s titanium...it if does it's probably chromoly.

the value is exactly what you paid for it.   it's a mid-80's frame.  Nice find by the way.

I'm late to the party as usual. Just now seeing this. Its a aluminum frame that was chromed. Black Lite experimented with chrome over aluminum. The problem was as soon as the frame flexed the chrome began cracking, splintering and flaking off. The welds for the chrome aluminum versions were smoothed down to take the chrome. These frames had no serial number or build date designation. The company existed from 82' to 84' or 85'. Black Lite was a company out of Texas. They made custom frames out of titanium, aluminum or chromoly.

Side note, I use to have the same basketball goal. Also, I have a blue cut down hammerhead seat just like the one on your bike. I wonder if you sold it to me.

Picked up a chromoly Black Lite frame and fork recently with some decent parts. It was found outside of Jacksonville FL and engraved with the name Stone on the frame and some of the parts. The picture was taken when I got home with in PA.

Based on the dropouts I'd say the front fork is Black Lite. I think the frame is some other brand though.

My first thought was that it looks like an expert frame. Based on the dropouts it does certainly look like a Blacklite. I thought it could be a Rebel but I think the dropouts are too short. JMC?

I believe you are right. It was sold to me as a Black Lite, but the top tube is 18.5” center to center. I’m going to look at Rebel Racing for a possible match. Maybe forks are Black Lite. The serial is R1150. I’m going to a pic of the ad and forks. I can add more pics of the forks for reference and benefit of the thread if confirmed. Appreciate the help.
