Interesting Video of 70's BMX History with NorCal Emphasis

Recommended Posts

This has been around for a while, but check it out, it's interesting with some solid gold old footage.

I needed to watch something like that after the last 12 months I have dealt with.

I think Spike may have been in some of those shots and if not he certainly rode/raced Merritt.

Yeah, I'm not sure if Spike is in there.

Holy cow, Steve. That's the best thing I've seen in a long time.

Caught a quick glimpse of an R&R at about the 4:10 mark. Was also digging the upturned roady drops on one of the kids bikes.

That sure brings back memories...good times. Those kinds of tracks were so much fun to ride, and so different from the tracks of today.

Thanks for posting it.

Damn!! Riding obviously was cool, but the fabrication scenes were off the hook! Love dudes half roll of duct tape bandage. It’s ok, I can see bone, but I ain’t done yet lol...throw some more tape on it

That is a really well done video. I didn’t see Spike in there. Great shots of McClarren park and Merritt tracks. Had to be 1975 because I was on a Champion and Oakley was on Moto Pro.
