dav451
Hello, I’m trying to figure out what chain came stock on these. I know there silver and black. I just can’t find the brand. If anyone knows I’d appreciate the info. Thanks! And yes I tried google and old catalogs. Admin TrulyOdd Posted August 5, 2019 Admin Share Posted August 5, 2019 not positive but most likely a KMC or Izumi.
dav451
The KMC Z410 looks like a match. I was about to buy one on ebay but I would like to put the chain those bikes came with. Thanks for the response. I’ll check out the Izumi
mr coasterbrake
probably the KMC. I'm pretty sure they were done using Izumi as OEM by/before 1993.
dav451
Cool, the KMC chains cost less too. Thanks!
dav451
Now I just just need a brake cable, some tubes and some chrome polish. It’s hard to keep everything stock. The grips were extremely hard to find. I got lucky one day and came across them.
Admin TrulyOdd Posted August 22, 2019 Admin Share Posted August 22, 2019 what brand are the grips? here's a good chrome polish.
dav451
Thanks, I hear that stuff is real good. The grips have no markings on them. I was hunting them on visual alone based on catalog pictures. Then these popped up for sale as 1993 gt interceptor grips. They were a perfect match to the picture in the catalog. I still haven’t seen another pair for sale, and it’s been a couple of years. Edited August 22, 2019 by dav451

dav451
After a little elbow grease I put the Interceptor back together. Still needs a little work but that’s ok I like it. Edited April 15, 2022 by dav451
