So leaving the states for 14 days and this will be waiting for me when I get home.

Recommended Posts

So the wife and I are going to England tonight for 14 days to vist my dads family and luckily going to the MX2019 BMX show on Saturday(I will post pics when I’m back) any how this monster will be waiting for me at my brothers house. 1975 Graco MX1000 as seen here. Can’t wait to redo it and to top off the 54lb monster I will be taking the Tuff 1’s off and tossing on a set of Moto 1’s just to hit 65 lbs lol. I love the “ugly” look of it however I might do a complete restoration on it. Again I love the way she looks now but we will see. The stickers are very cool.

Man, that is a bad ass bike.  I dig the way it looks now.  Even the Tuffs look cool on there.

Yea I’m going to have to see what it looks like with my eyes before I do anything with it.

My quick review and notes as follows:

Yamaha Moto bike forks (I think) with upper crown mods and very cool fork leg FMF stickers.

XR75 front fender, with very cool mini truck sticker.

Rear shocks from a mid 70s 125 motocrosser, possibly BOGE shocks.

Homemade chain tensioner (maybe not, it does have aircraft lock nuts).

Oakley grips on ready to crack aluminum bars is perfect.

Well used overall 70s look is just right.

Oh and those motomags, why not?

I would leave it just as is. It looks awesome with the Tuffs and its patina.

The guy told me that he put the tuffs on it to sell it, because when he got it it had no wheels. With that said I am not against leaving it as is

So far after an hour of opening the “gifts” haha this is where I’m at. This frame is crazy and looks like a bit of work has been done at some point, the frame has been rattle caned same with the swing arm. The fork top tree looks home made? Not sure

Well other then the pedals she is together for now and let me tell ya she is a heavyweight! Now a few questions for the cats that know (because I don’t) the rear swing arm looks home madeish with some sloop worlds and the frame has been sprayed a few times as I see silver and blue under red. The triple tree looks homemade as well but again I don’t know. The crank arms are stamped 75 and what is this tension thing for the chain ? Has any else seen one or have one? The guy shipped all the dust and dirt with the bike when packed like a picnic lunch lol. Here are more and better pics of the monster.  Oh the grips are both the same side haha
