  1. Had a blast at the 5th "No so" Annual Oldschool BMX show (and swap-meet) in Castle Rock, Colorado (Denver). It was hotter than a pistol, but the beer was cold and the bikes were COOL! "Elvis" (Mark) was a great host who provided free beer, free bbq, and had a great playlist going in his bikeshop (American Cyclesport) which included the likes of Maiden, Sabbath, Ozzy, Priest and more.. Mark got Tommy Brackens on speaker-phone and had it broadcasting throughout the store's overhead speakers so we could all hear him. It was a really cool touch, and provided us oldschoolers an insight into the glory days when Mark, Tommy and a few other heavyweights worked in the same bike shop.. doing donuts on the carpet with dirtbikes, a hawk that projectile-shitted on customers 20 feet away, partying all night and waking up to a pidgeon eating the pizza! Brackens also fielded questions from the audience, some of which included "What's the story on the flex-plates you used to run?" and a few more I can't remember. Tommy talked about how, in an age when everyone was doing these iron-clad contracts, Powerlite still did things with a handshake, and that one ended up being his longest deal. I'll post pics and comments later, but I am having technical difficulties at the moment..
